Hey Everyone!

Sure, hope you are all doing well out there... these days are long and short without the store open.  We are sewing samples of course ... just got the block and quilt done for the "Garden Party" for the big SCQR coming up this July.  It is adorable and as soon as it gets back from the quilter I will post pictures.  We are excited to be a "Garden Party" and as shipments of the Northcott Fabric arrive later in May, we will start cutting and rolling in anticipation of the event.
For more information you can check out the official website for the event by clicking on the tab on our home page.

So, I was hoping to be open on or around May 1st... but as of today there is no indication that restrictions for non-essential stores are going to be lifted.  We are checking the State of California and City of Palm Desert websites daily hoping and hoping that somebody says something soon.   In the meantime, we are open currently Wednesday of each week from 10 - 2 for backdoor pick up.  You can reach us through our website, just let us know what you need, and we will respond.  We are also adding items to our on-line store.  Did you know you can shop the on-line store and use your gift certificates as payment - it's easy!

Speaking of gift certificates , a special thank you goes out to our local Quilt Guild,  The Coachella Valley Quilt Guild who so generously purchased several gift certificates last week to help our store.  A big big thank you !

We have something new we are launching while the store is temporarily closed due to covid 19 - Mystery Boxes.  Let me shop the store and pick out a combination of items for your personal mystery box.  You can leave it entirely up to me or give me clues to what you would like to receive.  Colors, themes, precut items or yardage.  Remnants from our clearance rack, notions, books, or patterns.  Tell me some of your favorite colors, manufacturers, themes flowers, youth, baby, etc.  I will pack your goodies, figure shipping and send you a PayPal invoice.  Or you can even order a Mystery Box through our on-line store.  Mystery Boxes are either $25,$50,$75, or $100.  Tax is included and shipping charges will be added, or you can pick up at our backdoor pick up on Wednesdays from 10 - 2.

For those of you who are waiting on the last table runner of the month kit, "Springtime Bunnies" ... I am told by Riley Blake Fabrics that these will ship the beginning of May and as soon as I receive them, I'll give you a call.  They are coming.

For those of you who purchased the "Brightly Blooming" panel  Moda Fabrics is giving an early May shipping date, and as soon as we receive them, we will send the boxes off to you.   We have received all the coordinate fabrics and they are fabulous.  If you would like to see or order these fabrics check out our on-line store, they are listed as suggested products beneath the panel along with some new patterns created for the collection.   You can also find this collection on the drop-down tab for the on-line store under fabric.   We will be adding new fabric lines as we receive them along with some of our current basics as example The French General solids that are always available.

Just added today are some new wonderful basics from Art Gallery Fabrics.  Icon Elements, Prisma Elements and Deco Stitch Elements.  You've
got to check these out ... yummy.

And we are including the link for the "Village" pattern compliments of Moda Fabrics and Miss Rosie's Quilt Company.  The little houses are made with 5" charms or scraps.  And to make it perhaps a little more fun and with purpose, I would love to receive a block from my "village" of friends, so if you make me a single block and bring it to me, signed on the back, I will trade you a block for a fat quarter of your choice.  I will  take up to five from each of my "village" of friends.   With the idea that I will get enough blocks from my "village" of
friends to make a shop quilt and several quilts for charity.   You can drop them off on Wednesday at the backdoor ... just ring the doorbell from 10 - 2.

Lastly, we hope real soon to open our beautiful store, perhaps by appointment only so we can limited the amount in the store and keep our social distancing.  But until we can work all this out with the City and County please remember backdoor Wednesday.  We need your business.
