Hello Everyone and Happy May Days!

We are starting to receive a few shipments of new fabric collections as the industry continues to deal with container delays.   Desert Cowboy by Windham Fabrics, a nod to the old western cowboy with plenty of cactus and southwest colors including sage and shades of oranges.  Even a print  with directions to the rodeo and saloon.  Fabrics available in store and on-line.

And adding to our southwest and country collections we have Las Senoritas and Back In The Saddle both by Alexander Henry Fabrics.  Las Senoritas is beautiful and a welcome mirage in any desert .  The colors are rich with reds, and browns highlighting cactus and missions.  Back in The Saddle is a playful collection of cowgirls on black, red, or natural backgrounds.  The wild west never looked so good.

Robert Kaufman fabrics has released their new Desertscape batik prints.  Our first shipment has arrived and oh my goodness, the desert hues they were able to capture, and the saturation of colors are astounding.  Teal, purple, sand just to name a few, with southwestern graphics, fauna and even sifting sand.  Of course, I am a true-blue batik lover with a disposition for the southwest, so the love affair was undeniable, and I anxiously await our next shipment of Desertscape.

And last by not least we have a couple new Dr. Seuss prints by Robert Kaufman.  These can be found under novelty fabrics  in our on-line store.

For those who are  waiting on Dance in Paris coming via Moda Fabrics…current update shows an estimate ship date of May 24th – May 28th.  The complete collection along with some precuts and kits are on our order and just as soon as it arrives, we send out a shout out.

We have a few new store samples in the works and will reveal them later in the month.  Pictures we be  posted on Instagram and Facebook and you can get there through our website with just one easy click.

Many of you have asked; Who is doing the stores long arm quilting since Wayne retired?  Well, I am happy to announce I have found three talented and very personable quilters.  We have several samples of their workmanship hanging at the store should you also be looking for a new source.  Shelly’s Quilting, Desert Dudes Studio, and Wolf Girl Quilts.

Reminder:   Please do not forget to use those coupons received at the Spring Fling for donating food.  The coupon is worth 20% off one item during the month May and good at any of the participating stores.  The coupon cannot be used on sale, consignment or sewing machines.

The 2021 Quilter’s Run this year’s dates are July 15 – July 18 & July 22 – 25.  The theme is Sew What’s in Your Garden? Our store was assigned the Tropical Garden with the color fuchsia.    We decided to embrace the playful side of fuchsia - can you guess what has taken residence in our garden?

And one of our most favorite fabric events of the year, the Reindeer Dash will be held on  October 7th, 8th, and 9th from 9am – 5pm.  This is the 15th year anniversary of this event and we are working hard to make this the best one ever!  So, mark your calendars and start the countdown with us.

Keep those pillowcases coming in.  The Quilter’s Faire store is an official drop off location for pillowcases for Ryan’s Cases for Smiles.  All pillowcases go to hospitals in the Inland Empire and the need is great.  If you are in between projects or just wanting to sew a quick item – sew a happy pillowcase for a sick child.  Check out the official website for more information.

See you in the store!
