Welcome October! 

First up is the Reindeer Dash which starts on Thursday, October 7^th through Saturday, October 9^th from 9am – 5pm.   During this event all stores collect nonperishable food for local food banks and various charities.  Bring your contribution for a discount coupon redeemable later this year. Think mac n cheese, tuna, soup, coffee, peanut butter, applesauce, fruit cups, juice boxes.  Canned vegetables are good also … try and bring complete food not just ingredients like the infamous stewed tomatoes… If you were hungry or down on your luck, what would you like to receive?    This event features the fabrics by Lewis and Irene, “Noel” an elegant woodland design with just a touch of sparkle.   To see the fabrics and participating stores https://reindeerdashquiltrun.com/

Don’t forget at the store we continue celebrating the Hallothankmas Season.  During the month of October if you buy One Fall print pre-cut fat quarter you will get One Fall pre-cut blender fat quarter at 50% off! And in November the Christmas pre-cut fat quarters will be on special rounding out the Hallothankmas Season. 

Ryan’s Cases for Smiles.  We have started another tote board aiming for 200 cases and with last month donations we are at 57 and well on our way again to our goal of 200.  This organization works tirelessly to supply happy pillowcases to all sick children in the Inland Empire.  Covid has disrupted the pillowcase sew a thons and events so more than ever individual pillowcase donations are needed.  Please keep those pillowcases coming…we will accept as many as you can make. 

Some new collections received at the store this week Beneath the Western Sky by Gracey Larson for Riley Blake Designs.  From the Rocky Mountains in Colorado to the red Arizona Desert, from the evergreen trees to the cactus, and from the wide-open skies to the bright desert moons the West is where Gracey Larson calls home.  She describes it as a place of clean, crisp air with the most amazing sunsets in the world.  It’s wild and free with places that still have never really seen a human footprint.  This collection is loaded with desert colors from a dark navy sky, including green, orange, and dark and light pink with touches of cream and sea foam.  Western stripes, moons, desert fauna and starry animals.  This collection is just easy on the eyes.

And have you seen  Southwest  by In The Beginning Studio?  Feathers, wagon wheels, tons of cactus, with a cowboy hat and boots.  This is an ace-high collection.  Vivid greens, rustic browns with turquoise, orange, and pink cactus flower accents.
