Just a quick note on what’s happening at the store…

…This year both holidays fall on weekends, so the store will continue to be open Thursday – Saturday through December 23^rd.   The store will close from December 24^th – January 5^th   for our annual winter holiday closing.  The store will reopen on Thursday, January 6^th.  

We continue to look for those key people to help us operate the store.  Our goal is to be open more hours, however, until we find those people, we will endeavor to provide you the best possible quilt store experience Thursday – Saturdays from 9 – 3pm.  We know this is an inconvenience to you at times and appreciate your understanding until we can get back to pre-covid normal. 

Shipments of fabric, books, patterns, battings, and notions are sporadic still.  Seems we get a cluster of deliveries than there is a lot of hurry up and wait.  We have also seen many price increases and notices of more to come.  Shipping and labor costs are driving many of the increases across all industries.   We continue to think up plenty of inspiring projects at the store using a variety of fabrics from alluring quilts, to playful stuffed animals, chic handbags and totes with even a few home accessories.     We’ve got lots of sewing and quilting ideas for the upcoming year and look forward to sharing them all with you. 

This week we received Mardi Gras by Dear Stella Fabrics.  A true celebration of color in the traditional New Orleans flavor.  Shades of purples, greens, and gold.  Did you know that the colors of Mardi Gras have a meaning?  Purple for justice, green for faith and gold for power. 

Ryan’s Cases for Smiles. This organization works tirelessly to supply happy pillowcases to all sick children in the Inland Empire. Covid has disrupted the pillowcase sew a thons and events so more than ever individual pillowcase donations are needed. Please keep those pillowcases coming…we’ll accept as many as you can make. Currently they need more cases geared for ages 12 – 18. At the store we have precut curated fabrics and packaged them up just ready to grab and sew. You can also just purchase and donate the individual packaged fabric kits. We have priced them at our cost and will include a donation card with your name. All donations and pillowcases go to the Inland Empire chapter and the need is great, approximately 400 cases a month is what they need.

Mark your calendars as our annual tent sale Birthday Event dates have been set, February 11^th and 12, 2022 and the Spring Fling Shop Hop, March 3^rd, 4^th, and 5^th, 2022.
