The Quilter's Faire - December 1, 2023

Woo-hoo! Black Friday and Small Store Saturday were a blast.  Thank you SO much to everyone who came out to celebrate with us – it was such a joy to catch up and see you all. 

Reindeer Dash 17 coupons are in full swing this December!  If you donated during the shop hop, dig out those coupons for a festive 20% off one item at any participating store.  Time to treat yourself at your favorite quilt haven (excluding sewing machines & sales items). 

Heads up:  Our store will be catching some Zs from December 14 to January 3, reopening on Thursday, January 4^th.  Don’t’ worry:  we’ll be back, refreshed, and ready for more quilting adventures! 

The December full moon, also known as the Cold Moon or Long Night’s Moon, will grace the sky on December 26^th.  As the winter chill intensifies and nights grow longer, the moon offers a beautiful reminder of the season’s unique charm.

And a little reminder we are open longer hours now that the season is here.  Thursdays through Saturdays when we swing the doors open at 9 am and graciously close at 4:30 pm. 

In the past month we have had several inquiries as to local friendship groups for quilting and sewing in the Palm Desert, Palm Springs, and Desert Hot Springs areas.  If you have any information or recommendations, please let us know so we can share it with our community. 

We set the dates for our 14^th Birthday Party, Friday, February 16^th and Saturday, February 17^th, 2024.  Circle these dates, can you believe we’ve been at this for 14 years?  Time flies when you’re having fabric fun!

New Fabric alert.  Introducing Imperial Collection:  Honoka by Robert Kaufman Fabrics.  This gorgeous collection features rich green tones with touches of mauve, fog and black, all inspired by the Japanese words for “harmony” and “flower”.  With 16 stunning pieces to choose from, you’ve sure to find the perfect fabric for your next project. 

Grass Roots, by P&B Textiles.  This is a new blender collection with 27 colors in the collection.  The look is that of grass cloth wall coverings and would be fantastic as a background for applique.  We brought in the whole collection and completely re-worked our blender wall. 

Two new quilts samples are displayed at the store.  Both quilts used fabric from Forest Chatter, by Maywood Studios.  A beautiful woodsy collection is ideal for nature lovers and features complete kits for your convenience.   

New Lori Holt charms have arrived for all you collectors out there!  These adorable charms come in a variety of designs, including a pink pig, cottage and rose.

And for all you needle minders, we’ve added some fun new designs from Bohin, including a poodle, owl, cool cat, flowers, and even sassy sayings like “Son of a Stitch” and “Oops I Stitched it Again”.
