Just a quick reminder that this Friday, April 26^th is our last “Good Fortune Friday”.  When you visit the store, you will select your fortune cookie to reveal what good fortune is yours for the day. 

Starting May 1^st, the store will operate on summer hours, which are Thursday – Saturday from 9am-3pm.  As the days get hotter and the store traffic slows down, we are busy making new samples, getting ready for the Southern California Quilt Run this July, and getting the store restocked after the busy season. 

Don’t forget to grab those coupons you received during the Spring Fling for all your generous food donations.  The coupons are good at any store that participated in the event.  The coupons are only good in May so don’t forget to use them. 

This year we had many rainy days in April and even though it didn’t rain in the store (except for a few minor roof leaks) we have May flowers.  Lots of flowers throughout the store and just because we can, during the month of May all non-sale floral fabric yardage or single precut floral fat quarters will be discounted 15 percent.   Happy Mother’s Day, Happy May. 

We almost have our Shoot for the Stars quilt block ready.  This is our assigned star block for the annual Southern California Quilt Run, July 11^th – July 14^th and July 18^th – July 21^st.   Your Darn Tootin, we will be Shootin for the Stars!  Western Stars, that is.  So, dust off your cowboy hats and boots and mark those dates on your calendar. 

We’ve also started planning the Reindeer Dash 18, this coming October 3^rd, 4^th & 5^th.   Fabric was selected and orders are confirmed more than 6 months prior to the event, ensuring all stores have plenty of inventory for this respected event.  Put another mark on your calendars as you don’t want to miss this holiday shop hop.  Check out the official website by clicking on the tab at the top of our home page.  You’ll be able to see all the stores that are participating and get a peek at the stinking cute fabric each  store selected.  

A few new treats at the store:

Flower Girl by Heather Briggs for Moda Fabrics.  The pre-cuts have come in, fat quarter towers, layer cakes, 5” charm packs and the mini charms. 

Lights Out by Robert Kaufman Fabrics.  Just a few lighthearted Halloween prints that glow in the dark.  Pumpkins, black cat eyes, little coffins and a black and white stripe that would make Beetlejuice jealous. 

We have a new store mascot, the Owl O’ween quilt has finally been completed, (I just couldn’t get to this one last year), but he, I think it’s he? Has a timeless presence and we all very much like the quilt adorning the store.    Maybe I need you all to help give him or her a name?  Perhaps a little contest…stay tuned for further details. 

Our first new holiday quilt in classic red, green and golds also was installed with a slight holiday corner fabric remodel…getting ready for all those holiday fabrics that will start to ship in May, June, and July.
