Woo Hoo And also, during the month of June, all our patriotic fabric that has red, white, and blue in the design will be a whopping 50% off! Yard cuts or more and this discount will apply to our red, white, and blue jelly rolls. We need the room – so don’t let that June Gloom get you down, head out to the sunny desert for some fabric therapy.
A little reminder the store is now operating on summer hours, which are Thursday – Saturday from 9am – 3pm.
Just about 6 weeks away is the Southern California Quilt Shop Hop. The theme is Shoot for the Stars. And if you haven’t heard the dates are July 11th – July 14th and July 18th – July 21st. Your Darn Tootin, we will be Shootin for the Stars! Western Stars, that is. So, dust off your cowboy hats and boots and mark those dates on your calendar. Yup, we’re photo Shootin …Western Stars. Along with the cowgirl and cowboy photo shoot we encourage you to visit the store at High Noon in the Desert. Get here before those daily temperatures start to scorch even the tumbleweeds. Between High Noon and 12:30 each day we’ll be serving up some cold Sarsaparilla for all those thirsty travelers. Now we all know that Sarsaparilla was banned in the 60’s but it is sure fun to say, and when we serve up Root beer at High Noon – 12:30 each day we’ll probably call it sarsaparilla …just so you know. We will also be playing Western Bingo from High Noon – 12:30 each day for the lucky 15 cowpokes who make it to our store from High Noon – 12:30 each day. Time permitting from High Noon – 12:30 each day, we will play up to 2 rounds of Western Bingo (1 chance per person per day). We have some Western prizes for the winner(s) of Western Bingo from High Noon – 12:30 each day. And don’t forget to wear your cowgirl or cowboy hat into the store. We are having a contest for the most fetching cowgirl or cowboy hat. We want a real head turner. A good looking take your breath away cowgirl or cowboy hat.
We’ve also started planning the Reindeer Dash 18, this coming October 3rd, 4th & 5th. Participating stores will be highlighting Jingle Pals by Robert Kaufman Fabrics. Free fat quarter and pattern while supplies last. So, make sure to put another mark on your calendars as you don’t want to miss this holiday shop hop. Check out the official website by clicking on the tab at the top of our home page.
We have a new store mascot, the Owl O’ween quilt has finally been completed, (I just couldn’t get to this one last year), but he, I think it’s he? Has a timeless presence and we all very much like the quilt adorning the store. Help us name this quilt. Stop by the store and submit your suggestion for a chance to win a store gift certificate. Taking name suggestions until September 30th when a winner will be declared.
Soon to be unveiled is our third sister, Carol from the Sisters Collection of patterns exclusive to The Quilters Faire. Carol is a classically designed pattern that you will make over and over again. It has been designed with you and your little one in mind. It’s quick and easy to make. It has a simple style that will stand the test of time. As with the Millye and Edith patterns, Carol is also reversible to encourage independence when dressing alone. And the loose fit will grow with her because it can still be worn as a tunic after growth spurts. We’ll have lots of samples soon to spark your inspiration.

The Tale of Peter Rabbit. Once upon a time there were four little rabbits, and their names were- Flopsy, Mopsy, Cotton-tail and Peter. The tale of Peter Rabbit first appeared in a picture letter written in 1893 by Beatrix Potter for a young family friend and it was published as a book in 1902. A lover of the British countryside, in later life Beatrix Potter settled in the English Lake District, and upon her death, she beque4athed her farms and over 4,000 acres o land to the National Trust, who continue to manage her bequest. A delightful panel with several coordinates.
Lots of new Sew Cute Zipper Charms. Several sparkly summer themes, palm trees, flamingos, crabs, lobster, star fish, sea horse, and even a Volkswagen summer beach bus!
See you at the store.
