Hello September and hello to all our supporters as we open up the store again this Thursday, September 5^th.  Lots of new goodies and information to share so let’s get right to it.   

Holy Night by Robert Kaufman.  Beautiful depiction of the Holy Night using jewel tone colors teal, violet, cobalt, grape, spruce, mint and peach on both day and midnight backgrounds.  We brought in the whole collection of 16 pieces. 

Holiday Charms by Robert Kaufman.  Traditional Christmas with reds, greens, crème and gold.  Candy canes, ornaments, trees and some no print – prints for all your holiday creations. 

Traditional Trimmings by Robert Kaufman.  Lots of greens and golds in traditional holiday prints, evergreen, pine, cream and ivory, ornaments, stars and deer. 

Bee Positive by Cotton and Steel.  A modern basic offering 22 different colors from black to butterflower and everything in between.   We brought in all the colorways!

The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Riley Blake.  Two panels, Peter Rabbit panel and Peter and friend’s softie panel.  Cream, blue and tea rose characters, text and gingham checks. 

Backyard Birdwatching by RJR Fabrics.  Cute birdhouses, birds, and birding binoculars.  Easily paired with black and white for a fun project. 

Silent Lake by Northcott Fabrics.  Absolutely beautiful!  Vibrant autumnal colors with a stunning panel and multiple coordinates.  We brought in the whole collection as there was just no way you could ever just pick a few. 

Space Dye by Figo Fabrics.  A woven fabric that is dyed with multiple colors to create a variety of shades and textures.  Use on its own or blend with additional blenders to create interest and depth.  We brought in the newest colors, honey, cocoa, sun, teal, pistachio and green. 

Pumpkin & Haystacks Quilt Kit by Lori Holt.  Quilt size is 64 ½” x 80 ½” and comes in a pumpkin collector box with exclusive pattern and pumpkin and sew simple shapes.  The kit includes fabric for quilt top and binding. 

Cottage Charm by Poppy Cotton.  The name says it all as this collection could not be more charming.  We brought in the teal colorway with charming cottages, butterfly blossoms, teal garden stripe, and bursting blossoms.  Seven pieces blue and teal with golden ocher, coral and wild plum accents. 

Farm Livin by Riley Blake.  A farm livin panel featuring that classic red barn, cows, sheep, chickens and a couple of prancing horses.   Coordinates include tossed animals and chicken wire all in primary colors.  Great for a quick gender-neutral baby gift or an adorable Millye, Edith or Carol little dress. 

100 Aker Woods by Riley Blake.  A delightful play on the original characters with a picnic meadow, tigger bounce, and the Aker woods in white and sky blue.  Prints that can stand alone or be easily incorporated with other youth prints.  And of course, these prints would make a darling “Sisters” dress.  Millye, Edith or Carol would be stinking cute using any of these fabrics.   

A couple new fall patterns, Happy Halloween by Elizabeth Hartman, pumpkins, owls, cats, spiders, candy corn, bats and a cute little witch in either a small or large quilt layout.  Nature’s watercolor a 28” square table topper – traditional piecing.  Quilted Pumpkins pattern, yes, this year we made quilted pumpkins.  Easy pattern and you can practice your quilting skills while using up those fall fabrics you’ve been hanging on too. 

A few new samples were displayed at the store starting with nature watercolor leaf table topper.   This table topper uses 1 charm pack with one or several light backgrounds depending on how scrappy you want to make it.  For me this was a slow and steady gets it done evening kind of sewing. 

Our lace garden holiday quilt is complete and kitted.  An, all machine pieced and appliqued, kaleidoscope-flower quilt using some beautiful, rich Robert Kaufman holiday fabrics.

Several new children’s quilts and kits starting with a Peter Rabbit and Peter Rabbit stuffies.  Under the sea whimsical quilt, and an adorable little playmat using some learning color fabrics by Robert Kaufman. 

And for the outdoorsman in your life a fishing and outdoor quilt combining lots of different fabric lines. 

Last but not least we finished the purple batik half square triangle quilt.  Some of you may remember we were demoing how to make eight half square triangles at one time during the Reindeer Dash last year using purple batiks…well the quilt came out very nice and is hanging proudly at the store.

Just one more thing, on Saturday, September 21^st our parking lot at the store and the entire complex is scheduled to be resurfaced…so we will not be open, just this one Saturday. 

Why oh why could they not do this in August …. aargh, well we will be open on Thursday and Friday that week so just please make a note.
