September 18th - The Quilter's Faire News

Just a quick reminder that the store will only be open Thursday and Friday this week.  The entire parking lot surrounding our building is to be resurfaced on Saturday and Sunday so we will not have any access to our building. 

Also, another reminder for the upcoming Reindeer Dash starting Thursday, October 3^rd – Saturday, October 5^th, all stores will have extended hours during the event from 9am – 5pm. Don’t forget to bring your non-perishable food item to receive a 20% coupon good in December (first 100 donations at each store).   This year with the high cost of food people are struggling even more.  So please try and give your donations some thought.  Although a can of tomato paste is an important ingredient in many dishes, perhaps you could dig a little deeper and offer an item that can be eaten on its own.  Some examples, mac n cheese, boxed or pouched rice and noodle dishes, stuffing, instant potatoes, canned tuna or chicken, pouched or can soups, stew or canned spaghetti, coffee, juice, etc.  When you make your selection at the store or in front of your pantry think, “What would I like to eat” and then grab that item to donate.  

The 20% off coupon is each store’s way of saying, Thank you, for your generosity.  Your coupon can be used for any purchase except all ready on sale items, consignment items and sewing machines and any of the stores.

New goodies at the store:

Autumn Breeze by Paint Brush Studios.  Two colorways, dark cadet blue and ivory with olive green, golden rod, and melon accents.  Rabbits, birds, foxes with flowers and ferns.  Ten cotton pieces and one canvas for just the right bag.

Sky Adventures by Paint Brush Studios.  A truly dreamy collection that would be perfect for that new nursery or special youth quilt.  Pirate kittens riding on whales in the clouds with the moon, stars and jellyfish.  Minty sea green, Manatí blue, with peachy apricot and sunset orange accents.  Twelve whimsical prints in the collection. 

And we have a few new store mascots, Wadsworth, Clover and Lucky from the adorable Dog Park pattern by Elizabeth Hartman.  The pattern gives directions for 3 different size quilts, and I couldn’t decide which one I wanted to make, so throughout the year I hope to get more dogs completed and then make a decision.
