April is all about fun at the store! Every Friday in April, we will be celebrating with “Good Fortune Fridays”. Come by and grab one of our favorite Good Fortune Cookies to see what delightful surprise awaits you.
As we bid farewell to our winter season, we are thrilled to announce our new summer hours. Starting in May, the store will be open from 9 AM to 3 PM, Thursday through Saturday.
We hope this helps you avoid the afternoon heat of the summer sun, giving you more time to enjoy your favorite sewing project. We are sewing up a storm and we're kind of dizzy with excitement as we can't wait to unveil and display them.
And here's a little treat for May! Those coupons you scored during the Spring Fling Shop Hop? They’re your ticket to 20% off one non-sale item. And the best part? They’re valid at any of the participating stores. So, dust off those coupons and get ready, May is just around the corner!
In May, we're excited to host our delightful "April Showers Bring May Flowers" event! Throughout the entire month, you'll enjoy a fantastic 15% off all flower fabrics, including precuts. It's the perfect opportunity to treat your mom or yourself to some beautiful floral fabrics that will brighten any project.
And on a slightly more serious note, we wanted to keep you in the loop regarding upcoming changes. Many of our suppliers and manufacturers have alerted us about potential tariffs. If these tariffs come into effect, they will pass on the costs as a separate item rather than raising the price per yard directly. The good news is, so far, we've kept our prices steady, and our store is fully stocked. We're hoping any tariff changes will be temporary and rest assured, we'll do our best to maintain current prices as long as possible.
We are starting to gear up for the summer quilt run this July. The theme is Summer Fun, and each store will have a unique 10 ½” block. We have the beach ball block, and we are going to have a Pool Party theme during the event. More details to follow be sure to mark your calendar and save the dates, July 10th – 13th and July 17th – 20th.
A few new goodies at the store:
Woodland Batiks – Hoffman Fabrics. This is one of the newer collections by McKenna Ryan and every bit as interesting as her past collections. Very woodland as the name suggests. We brought in one colorway, seven pieces in colors depicted as mallard, chamomile and viridian. Acorn leaves, pinecones, mountains & trees, birch trees and even a fish texture.
Perennial by RJR fabrics. A new blender or tone on tone for the store. Very soft, almost dusty in colors depicting small flowers. Black ink, early frost, froth, misty rose just to name a few.
Morris Manor from Barbara Brackman for Moda Fabrics. The collection is named for the family’s summer home Kelmscott Manor “heaven on earth,” a spot he captured in colors echoing the seasonal view. At Morris Manor they boated, their girls grew up and Morris tended his gardens that provided inspiration for the floral prints. A few favorites from early Morris lines have been recolored in river-inspired shades of blue and green. Print collectors will be glad to know that the Leafy branch and the Scroll floral are new reproductions that have not been released prior. We brought in the whole collection, 33 pieces as well as fat quarter bundles, 5” charm packs, 10” layer cakes and jelly rolls.
New notions that have arrived; The template bucket hat for both children and Adults, Sulky KK 2000 temporary spray adhesive, Roxanne Glue-Bast-It temporary basting glue and the Sewline water soluble & refillable glue pen.
New and restocked patterns; The Elizabeth Hartman patterns are being stocked back up again, spectacular savanna, pretty birds, little llamas, armadillos, mermaids and dog park. More doggie boxes (with all the spec’d Kona & Essex colors for dog park) are also available. Eagle Lake and Chubby Chicks also back in stock.
New book releases: Fabulous 5-yard Quilts, Make It Home With 3-Yard Quilts and Patchwork Jackets, and Not Your Typical Jelly Roll Quilt.
See you at the store!
